Artists Have Long Called Sarasota Home
Sarasota, Florida has long been considered a premier destination for artists to live and create.
John Ringling (circus magnate) was so dedicated to the arts that he founded the Ringling College of Art and Design and his namesake the Ringling Museum of Art – home to one of the largest collections of Peter Paul Rubens paintings.
For decades, artists have lived, painted, photographed and drawn the many beautiful sights on Florida’s Gulf Coast. From flora and fauna, the Gulf and bay, to old Florida’s natural habitat and historic buildings and landmarks, there’s endless beauty to be reproduced in oils, acrylics and watercolors, on canvases and paper and even palm fronds.
This website was developed to give national exposure to the artists on Florida’s Gulf Coast and the Sarasota area. We hope you will want to purchase some of these works of art for your own. If you have questions about our artists and their works, please send your request to: [email protected]
